Austin D. Hauth
Austin D. Hauth, 85, Warsaw, died at 11:04 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 4, 2017 in Warsaw Meadows Care Center.
He was born May 7, 1931 in Warsaw to Roy E. and Thelma M. (Dunn) Hauth. He graduated from Warsaw High School in 1951 and went on to marry Patty J. Gordon, Oct. 3, 1954 in Warsaw. They were married for 62 years. He was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County except for 20 years when he lived in Sebring, Fla. He moved back to Warsaw in 2008.
He was a tool and dye maker at White Metal Rolling and Stamping Corporation for 28 years. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors where he gardened, rode his bike and fished when he could. Watching old Westerns was a favorite pastime. He was MSgt in Warsaw’s National Guard unit from 1950-1954.
He is survived by his wife: Patty J. Hauth, Warsaw; his daughter, Susan “Sue” (Michael) Zellers, Warsaw; two grandchildren, Matthew Zellers, Warsaw; Jennifer Zellers, Vandalia, Ohio; a brother, Roy F. (Joellen) Hauth, Jr., Winona Lake; a sister, Ruth Ann Neff, Indianapolis; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents; and five brothers: Ernest, Ralph, George, William and infant John (Dec. 5, 1932); and one sister, Margaret Ann Taylor.
Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with a private family graveside service.
