We Are The Dream: A Tribute To Martin Luther King Jr.
FORT WAYNE — At 4 p.m. on Jan. 15, the words and music of the Civil Rights Movement take center stage.
Heartland Sings commemorates the life and legacy of social activist and humanitarian, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This dramatic, musical tribute, We Are The Dream, combines the powerful words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. with the music that defined and propelled the Civil Rights movement.
Led by the Rev. Bill McGill, community speakers bring the powerful and poignant words of Dr. King to life. Heartland Sings will share the anthems that express the hope and promise of the time and author and narrator Janice Furtner tells Dr. King’s story.
Join us as we advocate keeping Dr. King’s dream alive. The concert is part of the Plymouth Music Series and will be held at Plymouth UCC Church, 501 W. Berry St., Fort Wayne. This is a free community concert; a free will offering will be accepted.
