CLAYPOOL — Seven individuals were injured in a head-on collision Friday, Dec. 23, in front of 4782 SR 15, Claypool.

The Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department, Warsaw Police, Warsaw Fire, Claypool Fire and Lutheran EMS were dispatched to the accident.

Christopher A. Hoxie, 31, East Sycamore Street, Silver Lake, was northbound on SR 15 driving the a gray 2007 Trail Chevrolet. Amanda D. Gidley, 41, West CR 950S, Silver Lake, was southbound on SR 15 driving a 2008 green Toyota Highlander.

According to the accident report, Hoxie crossed the left of the centerline and struck Gidley head-on in the southbound lane of travel. Gouge marks were located in the southbound lane near the center line. Four occupants in Gidley’s vehicle were injured in the crash. Three occupants in Hoxie’s vehicle were injured.

According to the accident report, both drivers gave consent to a blood draw for intoxication. The results are still pending.

Damage is estimated up to $50,000.
