WARSAW — Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts will feature country artist John King at its New Year’s Eve celebration, “An Evening with John King,” at 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31. The later performance will include a countdown and toast to the new year.
John King is an up-and-coming country singer songwriter from Gainesville, Georgia, where he worked in construction as a teenager. He graduated from University of Georgia in 2011 and signed a record deal with Black River Entertainment in 2013.
His debut single, “Tonight, Tonight,” was released in mid-2014 and entered the top-40 Country Airplay chart in September of that year. The single was also heard by millions of NFL fans as it was used to highlight CBS network’s Thursday night football throughout the 2014 season.
Already an accomplished songwriter as well as performer, King co-wrote Randy Houser’s single “We Went” with Justin Wilson and Matt Rogers. That song reached the number one position for Houser.
Joining the Wagon Wheel to sponsor the concert are Arby’s, Crop Tech, and Polk Auction Company.
Tickets to the concerts are on sale online, over the phone at (574) 267-8041, and in person at the box office. Tickets are $15, or $25 for front row.
