IDOE Recognizes WACC As ‘Promising Practice’ Facility
WARSAW — Warsaw Community Schools is proud to announce the Warsaw Area Career Center has been recognized by the Indiana Department of Education as a “Promising Practices: Making it Happen” facility. The Making it Happen initiative celebrates and recognizes schools across the state of Indiana for their effective implementation of innovative and/or inclusive educational practices.
“WCS is extremely grateful to be recognized by the Indiana Department of Education for the quality practices ingrained into the curriculum at the WACC,” said Dr. David Hoffert, superintendent of WCS. “The WACC continues to be a visionary and student-focused college and career institution. Their cutting-edge curriculum coupled with partnerships in higher- education credit is a wonderful example to other schools in Indiana and throughout the United States.”
To help celebrate Indiana’s bicentennial, the IDOE will recognize 200 promising practice facilities for 200 years of statehood. By highlighting these practices, an opportunity for educators to network with one another will be created –allowing educators to learn about best practices that are taking place throughout the state.
Identified programs, like the WACC, are student-centered and focus on positively impacting students through innovative programming and activities that provide a high-quality learning environment and experience. The WACC success in “Making it Happen” will be shared with educators across the state of Indiana as an example of best practices that are having a positive impact on Hoosier students.
