Manchester Volleyball: West Tabbed As New Head Coach
NORTH MANCHESTER – The Manchester Community School Board approved on Tuesday the hiring of Melissa West as the new head volleyball coach at Manchester High School.
West is a 1994 North Miami graduate and a 1999 Manchester College graduate, playing four years at each institution. West’s coaching experience spans nearly a decade as coach of Manchester Junior High’s seventh grade program, Manchester High School’s freshman team, and a JV and varsity assistant for Rochester High School as well as club volleyball coaching experience.
Manchester High School Athletic Director Jeremy Markham stated of West’s hiring, “We are excited to have Melissa as part of the Manchester coaching staff and working with our student-athletes. Melissa will instill a foundation of fundamentals, hard work and competitiveness within the volleyball program. I know she is excited to get started to build Manchester volleyball into a respected program in the TRC.”
