Harry Leo Campbell, 78, Wabash, died at 12:05 a.m., Thursday, Dec. 8, 2016 at Parkview Wabash Hospital. He was born Nov. 13, 1938 in Wabash, to William and Midge (Brown) Campbell.
Harry was a graduate of Wabash High School. He married Lorah Hettinger and she preceded him in death. He was a hotel manager all over the U.S. He was a life member of the Marion Eagles Lodge. Harry lived in Wabash the past ten years, and formerly lived in Fort Wayne and Marion.
He is survived by four step-children: Bob Chapman, Columbia City; Madeline Smithheart and Malinda “Sue” Ferris, both of Fort Wayne; and Kenneth Hartel, Logansport; sister, Lorene Campbell Banks, Wabash; and brother, William Lee “Billy” Campbell, Marion.
He was also preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters: Wanitta Nordman and Helen Sammons.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12 at Grandstaff-Hentgen Funeral Service, 1241 Manchester Avenue, Wabash, with Rev. Ralph Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Star City Cemetery, Star City. Friends may call one hour prior to the service Monday at the funeral home.
