Evelyn V. Hall
Evelyn V. Hall, 96, Bourbon, passed away at 1:50 p.m. Friday, Dec. 9, 2016, in Katherine Kasper Life Center, Donaldson, where she had been a resident the past several months.
Evelyn was born Nov. 1, 1920 to Rollie and Lydia (Eaglebarger) Bessinger. She has been a resident of Bourbon most of her life. She was a graduate of Bourbon High School. Evelyn was a homemaker and she enjoyed; reading, baking. She was the happiest when surrounded by her family. She had a generous spirt and ministered to others by providing home cooked meals, leading bible studies in her home, she was a Sunday school teacher and church youth leader. Working gave her much pleasure. She was a member of the Bourbon First United Methodist Church of which she loved.
On Dec. 24, 1942 she joined in marriage to Lester A. Hall who passed away Dec. 10, 1996. She will be greatly missed by her three daughters; Jerilyn E. (Mrs. Richard) Anders, Bourbon; Karen S. (Mrs. Bill) Dillie, Adrian, Mich. and Barbara A. (Mrs. Steve) Roberts, Bourbon; nine grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 54 years; her son Larry L. Hall; sisters: Lavon Nifong, Fawn Heisler, and Genevieve Heckaman; brothers Roy and Wayne Bessinger.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday Dec. 13 from 4 – 7 p.m. at Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home 115 S. Main St. Bourbon, IN 46504.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Bourbon First United Methodist Church.
Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Bourbon, Indiana.
The family requests memorial contributions to the Bourbon First United Methodist Church in her memory.
