Maple Leaf Donates Poultry For Hunger Relief
LEESBURG — Throughout 2016, Maple Leaf Farms donated more than 17 tons of poultry products to Indiana food banks and pantries in an effort to help these hunger-relief organizations serve a continuous need in the state.
“Our family-owned company is committed to giving back to our communities,” said Co-President Scott Tucker. “As a food company, hunger relief is one of our charitable giving focus areas.”
In addition to donating food to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana and Community Harvest Food Bank of Northeast Indiana, Maple Leaf Farms also made direct contributions to local food pantries like Our Father’s House and Combined Community Services.
“We know that high quality protein like poultry is often in short supply for hunger relief organizations,” said Co-President John Tucker. “We are pleased that our donations can make a positive impact in our communities.”
