WARSAW — Indiana Business Opportunity Partners (iBOP) held a bazaar and charity quarter auction for Heartline Pregnancy Center on Nov. 12, 2016 at the Baker Youth Club in Warsaw. The iBOP group was able to make a $4,000 monetary donation to Heartline as well as donations of supplies needed for the B.A.B.E boutique. iBOP wishes to thank those that supported the event. A big thank you goes to Lalo’s Party Rental for the donation of tables and chairs for the event.
Heartline Pregnancy Center is a non-profit organization that has served the greater Warsaw area since 1985. All of the services are free and confidential. Heartline does not discriminate based on income, age, race or religion. Because they do not perform abortions, they have no financial interest in your decision. Heartline is committed to providing a place where you can talk about your situation, get needed information and make an informed decision while providing compassionate services to support you in this time and want you to know you don’t have to face it alone.
There were over 100 items to bid on from direct sales consultants and handmade items from crafters for the event.
A quarter auction is a fun way to support a charity and maybe pick up some gifts for yourself or someone else for mere quarters. You will want to purchase your tickets in advance for $5 each as seating is limited. Tickets will be $7 at the door if any are remaining.
You then will exchange your ticket for a paddle and a numbered ball. When you decide you would like to try to win the item up for bid you will put the appropriate number of quarters in a bucket in the middle of the table and hold your numbered paddle up high. For example a $45 item is only a two-quarter bid. If your numbered ball is drawn and you have bid, you win that item for just two quarters!
iBOP’s next event is the 5th annual Spring Bling, a combination bazaar and quarter auction. It will be held at the (BYC) Baker Youth Club (the old YMCA building) at 1401 E Smith St. Warsaw in March 2017. The Bazaar will begin at 9 a.m. with the quarter auction beginning at 1:00. There will be grab bags for the first 50 people age 18+ through the door. The iBOP group is currently looking for unique crafters for this event.
