Kosciusko
Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
7:09 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 6, East LaPoint Drive and North CR 300E, Syracuse. Drivers: Graciela R. Mejia, 53, East LaPoint Drive, Milford, and Kevin A. Waugh, 32, East LaPoint Drive, Milford. Mejia’s vehicle collided with Waugh’s vehicle at the intersection. Damage up to $5,000.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accident:
1:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, East Center Street and Eastlake Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Clarisa A. Slusher, 19, East Old Road 30, Pierceton, and Jonathan B. Utley, 42, West Maple Lane, Claypool. Slusher’s vehicle hit Utley’s vehicle, causing Utley’s vehicle to strike a metal utility pole. Damage up to $25,000.
Marshall
Officers with the Marshall County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accidents:
1:09 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, US 6 and Sycamore Road. Driver: Roger Miller, 40, and Allison Verhaeghe, 34, Walkerton. Verhaeghe’s vehicle struck the back of the Miller vehicle. Officers were advised at the scene the accident involved a road rage incident. Verhaeghe reportedly was exiting her driveway and pulled out in front of the Miller vehicle. She became upset and the drivers were yelling and making obscene gestures toward each other. Verhaeghe reportedly got in front of Miller’s vehicle and slammed on her brakes. While officers were talking with Verhaeghe it was believed she was intoxicated and she was taken to St. Joseph Regional Hospital for a chemical test. She was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated. While being booked, a substance believed to be synthetic marijuana was located on her. An unnamed passenger in Miller’s vehicle was transported to a hospital for treatment. The children in the vehicle, ages 8 to 15 years of age, were treated at the scene. A case report will be completed and forwarded to the Marshall County Prosecutor’s office for review and formal charges.
5:23 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 100 block 15th Road near Gumwood Road, Tippecanoe. Driver: Donald Kulczar Jr., 44, Argos. Kulczar’s vehicle went off the south side of the road and struck an REMC pole. Kulczar was arrested for operating a vehicle while intoxicated,endangering a person and OWI with a BAC greater than .15. Argos Fire and EMS, Bourbon Police, Argos Police and Marshall County Sheriff’s Department responded.
