Claypool Man Threatens Woman With A Knife While Child Is Present
CLAYPOOL — A domestic battery complaint led to a Claypool man threatening a woman with a knife, while a child was present.
Dyrell Aaron Kreis, 36, 3211 West CR 700S, Claypool, is being charged with domestic battery in the presence of a child, a level 6 felony and domestic battery, a class A misdemeanor.
On Saturday, Nov. 26, an officer with the Warsaw Police Department responded to a domestic battery complaint. When the officer arrived he spoke with the victim who advised the two had been arguing for two hours.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, Kreis picked up a knife and threatened to send her to hell. Kreis then hit her several times while she was down inside a closet. The officer observed injuries to the victim’s face.
One minor child was present and witnessed the incident.
Kreis talked to the officer and admitted to hitting the victim multiple times on the jaw with his fist.
Kreis was booked into the Kosciusko County Jail Dec. 5 with a $6,000 bond.
