Valley Basketball: Vikings Overwhelm Apaches
WABASH – A 27-points first quarter was more than Wabash could handle as Tippecanoe Valley would cruise to a 70-38 girls basketball victory Saturday night.
The Vikings took a 27-16 lead after the first, then poured it on approaching halftime, outscoring the Apaches 16-5 in the second quarter to run away with the Three Rivers Conference matchup.
Addy Miller was the top dog for Valley Saturday night, scoring 18 points aided by a trio of three-pointers. Meredith Brouyette also hit three three’s for 11 points, adding five assists apiece. Anne Secrest finished with 16 points, 10 rebounds, five steals and four assists and Sophie Bussard had 11 points and three steals.
Jaycee Parrett led the Apaches with 13 points, but was held to just 4-12 field goals in the game.
Tippecanoe Valley moves to 7-2 overall and 2-0 in the TRC, Wabash falls to 5-3 overall and 1-1 in the TRC.
Valley will host Triton Wednesday evening.
