Goshen Man Arrested For Selling Synthetic Marijuana

LEESBURG — Kosciusko County officer’s arrested a Goshen man last night for allegedly possessing synthetic marijuana.
Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies responded last evening to the address of 10 Yvonna Street, Leesburg, after receiving an anonymous tip of a suspicious vehicle in the roadway. Upon arrival, officers were able to ascertain that a wanted subject, Sarah Elizabeth Powell, 22, Syracuse, was located inside the residence. K.C.S.D. deputies and Drug Task Force officers obtained permission for the property owner to enter into the residence, where the located Greg DeBoard, 36, Goshen. Officers immediately noticed items associated with dealing in “spice” and subsequently located approximately 150 grams of synthetic cannabinoid (synthetic marijuana).
Officers arrested and preliminarily charged DeBoard with felony possession of synthetic cannabinoid. Powell was arrested on the three outstanding Kosciusko County failure-to-appear warrants. Both DeBoard and Powell are currently being held in the Kosciusko County Jail.
The Kosciusko County Prosecutor’s Office advises that the defendant’s charge is merely an accusation and that the defendant is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
