Bernie Crittendon-UPDATED
Bernie Crittendon, 64, North Webster, passed away at 3:48 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, at Lutheran Hospital of Indiana in Fort Wayne. He was born on May 6, 1952, in Virgie, Ky., to James and Rendy Ellen (Richardson) Crittendon.
He attended Weeksbury, Ky. public schools and moved to the North Webster area 48 years ago from Wheelwright, Ky. He was married on May 7, 1970, in Warsaw, to Patricia L. “Pat” Maynard who survives. He retired from Syracuse Rubber Company after 33 years and was the former owner/operator of Triple T Discount Outlet in North Webster for 16 years.
He is survived by his wife: Pat Crittendon, North Webster; son: Rodney (Melissa Pettyjohn) Crittendon, Sturgis, Mich.; three grandchildren: Tavis Ray Crittendon; Tyler James Crittendon; and Taysha (Jordan) Cassatt; a great-grandson: Xander Christopher Crittendon; a sister: Annette Baker, Tracy City, Tenn.; three brothers: Harry Blake Crittendon, Tracy City, Tenn.; Dennis (Debra Lane) Crittendon; and William Michael (Connie) Crittendon, both of Huntington. He was preceded by his parents; two sisters: Billie Due Romine; and Naomi Rose LaFever; and three brothers: Rodney Jack; Sam; and James Daniel Crittendon.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25, at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster. Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. on Friday in the funeral home with Pastor Stan Owen from the Syracuse Church of God officiating. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw.
