Olive Mae Van Dyke — UPDATED
Olive Mae Van Dyke, 89, Warsaw, passed away at 6:38 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2016, in Grace Village Healthcare Center, Winona Lake.
On May 2, 1927, Olive was born in Burket to Orval David and Martha Mabel (Miller) Slife. She was raised as a farm girl.
She graduated from Burket High School in 1945. She was in the last class to graduate from Burket High School. She worked for Dr. Lee Dentistry, L.M. Berry and Company, Yellow Pages and Gatke Corporation. Olive then worked for Ramsey News for forty years.
Olive is survived by her son, David Gene Van Dyke, Warsaw; her companion, Marcus Kosins, Warsaw; her niece Linda Tomaselli, Florida; and two nephews, Robert Haupert, New Mexico; and Richard Haupert, California.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lena Belle Haupert.
Burial will be in Palestine Cemetery, Palestine at a later date.
