David Stanley Wolfe
David Stanley Wolfe, 86, Rochester, passed away at 3:08 p.m. at Woodlawn Hospital, Rochester Nov. 19, 2016.
David was born Nov. 10, 1930 in Kosciusko County to Galen B. and Flossie Faye (Ulrey) Wolfe.
On May 22, 1954 David married Laura Belle Aughinbaugh. In 1992 David retired from the State Highway Department after 15 years of service. Prior to working for the State Highway Department, he worked at both grain elevators in North Manchester. David was an Army veteran and served in the Korean War. He attended South Pleasant United Methodist Church, Silver Lake.
David was an avid mushroom hunter and hard worker.
He is survived by four sons: James S. Wolfe, Akron; Jack M. Wolfe, North Manchester; Joe D. (Tari) Wolfe, Wabash; and Jay L. (Lori) Wolfe, Andrews; one sister, Patsy Lou Kester, Vevay; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
David is preceded in death by his parents Galen and Flossie Faye Wolfe, two brothers and one sister.
Graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23 at South Pleasant Cemetery, Silver Lake. Pastor J.P. Freeman will officiate.
