Warsaw Woman Arrested for Meth During Jail Visitation
WARSAW — A Warsaw woman was arrested when she attended jail visitation with an active warrant and drugs in her possession.
Sierra Lanae Ross, 18, 3762 West Old Road 30, Warsaw, is being charged with possession of methamphetamine, a level 6 felony; possession of a syringe, a level 6 felony; and possession of paraphernalia, a class C misdemeanor.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Nov. 12 Ross was in the lobby of the Kosciusko County Jail when she stopped an officer and advised that she had participated in visitation and left her wallet in the visitation area.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the officer went into the jail and obtained her wallet. While there, he also discovered that Ross had an active warrant in Kosciusko County for domestic battery. He then arrested Ross on the warrant.
Ross advised that she had drugs in her purse before the officer began his property search. Inside the purse, a syringe filled with liquid methamphetamine and two glass smoking pipes were located. Ross admitted to using methamphetamine daily by injecting and sometimes snorting or smoking.
Ross was booked into the jail that day, Nov. 12 with multiple bonds totaling $6,250 surety and cash.
