LCA Basketball: Cougars Drop Third Straight
WINONA LAKE – Lakewood Park Christian used a strong start en route to a win over host Lakeland Christian Academy in prep girls basketball action Thursday night.
LPC led 13-5 after the opening period and went on to post a 39-24 win over the Cougars.
Hope Fancil led the offense for LCA with 10 points in the contest.
Melissa Goss scored seven points and grabbed a dozen rebounds for the Cougars. Anna Reimink netted three points, while Jess Slone and Brady Gross each had two points. Gross had seven rebounds and Slone snared five caroms for the home team.
LCA drops to 2-3 on the season with its third straight loss. LPC improves to 3-1 on the year.
LCA plays at Elkhart Christian Academy Saturday in a varsity-only game at 10 a.m. LPC travels to Woodlan Saturday night.
