Man Who Killed Daughter’s Sexual Predator Sentenced To 40 Years
BERLIN, ALA. — A man in Alabama was sentenced to 40 years in prison for killing his daughter’s sexual abuser.
According to The Cullman Times, the 43-year-old was sentenced for the June 2014 murder of 59-year-old Raymond Earl Brooks.
Brooks was convicted of abusing the man’s daughter in 2002 when she was in elementary school.
She spoke to WBMA after her father was charged with Brooks’ murder in 2014.
“I was so young I don’t remember when it started,” she said. Sinclair Broadcast Group is not identifying the victim, as she is the victim of a sex crime. Her father is not identified in this story to protect her identity.
The girl said she was raped repeatedly by Brooks, but didn’t tell anyone until she was 8.
“For the first time in my life I don’t feel scared,” she said.
“For the first time in my life I don’t wake up feeling fear.”
