Syracuse Man Arrested For Hit and Run Involving Juveniles on Horseback
SYRACUSE — A Syracuse man has been arrested after police say he left the scene of a crash in Lagrange County last Friday.
Mark R. Gledhill, 21, Syracuse, is charged with failure to stop after an accident involving injury, a level 6 felony; criminal recklessness with a deadly weapon, a level 6 felony; and a criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor.
On Nov. 11, a hit and run happened on CR 200S near CR 600W in Lagrange County. Two juveniles were riding a horse and were hit by a vehicle.
Deputies from the LaGrange County Sheriff’s Departments followed up on the tip and after extensive investigation located the vehicle and the driver that was suspected to be operating the vehicle at the time of the crash.
Both the children and horse sustained minor injuries.
LaGrange County Deputies were assisted by the LaGrange County Prosecutor’s Office during this investigation.
