NorthWood Basketball: Panthers Postpone First Two Tilts
NAPPANEE – The NorthWood boys basketball team will get a later start than planned on its season thanks to the success of the school’s football team.
The Panthers have postponed their first two games of the season, at Lakeland on Nov. 23 and at South Bend St. Joseph on Nov. 26, due to the extended run in the state tournament by the football team. The Lakeland game has been rescheduled for Jan. 21 with the St. Joe contest now set for Feb. 18.
The NorthWood football team will play in the Class 4-A Northern Semistate game Friday night at Lowell. With a win, the undefeated and No. 2 ranked Panthers advance to the state championship game in Indianapolis on Nov. 25.
Coach Aarron Wolfe’s basketball team is now scheduled to open their season by hosting Triton on Dec. 2.
