Jim B. Wolfe
Jim B. Wolfe, 72, Columbia City, died at 7:12 a.m. Monday, Nov. 14, 2016 at his home after battling cancer for three and a half years.
He was born March 9, 1944 in Huntington, a son of Earl B. and Helen (Miller) Wolfe. His formative years were spent in Markle and as a teenager his family moved to Fort Wayne. He graduated from South Side High School.
Jim worked 41 years for General Electric.
In May 1984 he was united in marriage to Ann L. McCague. They made their first home in Leo, moving then to Shriner Lake. In 2013 they moved to their present home north of Columbia City.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Ann; a daughter, Robin Norman of Fort Wayne; a grandson, Devon Norman of Fort Wayne; a great granddaughter, Bella Norman; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Nuttle-Crawford of Auburn and Molly Vakerics of Tucson, Ariz.
Per Jim’s request, there will be no visitation or service.
Preferred memorials are to Grace Lutheran Church or Grace Lutheran Church Food Pantry.
