WINONA LAKE – With a 92-67 win over Cincinnati Christian on Tuesday, Grace’s men’s basketball team improved to 6-1 to start the season.

The Lancers also ended the half on a strong note. Grace outscored the Eagles 14-4 over the final 4:03 of the half. Chad Hoffer and Stephen Halstead each had a triple in the spurt to help Grace to a commanding 48-28 lead at halftime.
The second half did not get better for the Eagles (2-4). Grace started the game on a 7-0 run, punctuated by a dunk from Godfrey. After Halstead missed a jump shot, Godfrey crashed the glass from the perimeter, rising above the rim for a putback jam to electrify the crowd at the Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center.
The Eagles were never able to piece together a substantial rally after halftime. CCU trailed by as many as 28 in the second half, and Grace unleashed its bench depth liberally until the final buzzer.
