Maple Leaf Farms Recognized During Manufacturing Month
LEESBURG — October was Manufacturing Month. Throughout the month, Grainger, a leading supplier of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) products to industrial and manufacturing firms, acknowledged the importance of manufacturing in the United States economy by recognizing some of its customers throughout the month as “Manufacturing Heroes”. In particular, they sought to recognize customers who create a culture of giving within their communities while ensuring a safe, healthy culture.
On Friday, Oct. 28, three representatives from Grainger presented Maple Leaf Farms Co-President Scott Tucker with a certificate of appreciation for the company’s efforts to manufacture safe, high quality food products with a focus on sustainability and environmental stewardship. To mark this achievement, they also delivered 20 dozen donuts for staff members to enjoy for their contributions to the manufacturing economy.
“Maple Leaf Farms is proud to receive this honor from Grainger,” said Co-President Scott Tucker. “As a fourth generation family-owned company, we share their commitment to growing a safe, sustainable manufacturing industry in the United States.”
