Kosciusko County Sees Higher Early Voting Numbers
WARSAW — Kosciusko County early in-person voting is up this year according to Circuit Court Clerk Ann Torpy.
Nearing the end of Friday, Nov. 4, over 4,100 individuals have voted at the Justice Building, 121 North Lake St., Warsaw, since early voting opened on Oct. 12. On the Friday before Election Day in the 2012 election, Kosciusko County had received 3,092 votes early votes.
Torpy gives social media partial credit to why more people have been coming to the Justice Building to vote earlier this year. She mentioned that, “Social media makes it easier,” to get the word out that voters can vote in person early, rather than having to mail in a ballot.
She also suggested that with more people being aware of early voting may do so because they plan on, “Avoiding lines in at the polls,” during Election Day.
Individuals still have a chance to cast their votes early by going to the Justice Building until noon today, Monday, Nov. 7.
