Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
6:01 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, West Lake Street, Warsaw. Driver: Robert L. Howard, 65, Cambridge Drive, Warsaw. Howard hit a parked vehicle in the Time Out parking lot. Damage up to $1,000.
8:17 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4, Lake City Highway and Orthopedic Drive, Warsaw. Drivers: Michael T. Brandt, 46, East State Street, North Judson, and Mikel S. Eid, 62, Homestead Hills, Fort Wayne. Brandt rear ended Eid at a red light. Damage up to $50,000.
7:27 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, Lake City Highway, west of South CR 325E, Warsaw. Drivers: William A. Dehaven, 57, State Road 930, New Haven, and Steven M. Rodman, 33, West Ninth Street, Auburn. Dehaven was traveling in the left lane and did not see Rodman in the right lane. Dehaven merged right and collided with Rodman’s vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
8:58 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, Lake City Highway, west of Springhill Road, Warsaw. Drivers: Tracy J. Schweisberger, North McKinley Street, Warsaw, and Ruth E. Jones, 67, South Colfax Street, Warsaw. Schweisberger was watching wild turkeys cross the road when she rear ended Jones. Damage up to $5,000.
10:17 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, Lake City Highway, north of Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Dustin R. Hamilton, 31, South CR 775E, Pierceton, and Paula M. Lopez Kelsey, 37, Raintree Road, Warsaw. Hamilton rear ended Kelsey in the left turn lane. Damage up to $2,500.
1:37 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, Lake City Highway, east of Parker Street, Warsaw. Driver: Alyssa J. Ashton, 31, Husky Trail, Warsaw. A deer ran out in front of Ashton and struck her vehicle. Damage up to $2,500.
10:27 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, South Buffalo Street, north of Boydston Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Alyssa B. Seaver, 19, South Higbee Street, Milford, and Angela L. Harness, 20, East Evergreen Drive, Warsaw. Seaver looked down at her cell phone and did not see Harness stop, rear ending her. Damage up to $10,000.
1:59 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, North Detroit Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Brian J. Elliott Jr., 16, Country Club Lane, Warsaw, and Shannon R. Gayheart, 53, East Winona Avenue, Warsaw. Elliot was in line at the McDonald’s drive-thru when he rear ended Gayheart. Damage up to $1,000.
3:17 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, East Center Street and South Scott Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Christopher E. Kindig, 55, North Frankling Street, Mentone; Maria G. Malagon Pantino, 21, West CR 1000N, Milford; and Cheryl L. Newell, 56, North Fort Wayne Avenue, Warsaw. Kindig was westbound on Center Street when he went through a red light he thought was green, colliding with Pantino’s vehicle and crossing the center line to collide with Newell’s vehicle that was waiting at the eastbound light. Damage up to $10,000.
2:17 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, East Smith Street, east of Hillside Drive, Warsaw. Driver: J. W. Anderson, 51, South McClellan Street, Warsaw. Anderson struck a deer. Damage up to $25,000.
Winona Lake
Officers with the Winona Lake Police Department investigated the following accident:
8:46 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, Lakeview Drive, Winona Lake. Driver: Steven E. Allen, 46, North Penny Drive, Warsaw. Allen hit the accelerator instead of the brake, jumping a sidewalk and colliding with the external wall of the residence at 133 Lakeview Drive. Damage up to $25,000.
