Randall A. “Randy” Cook
Randall A. “Randy” Cook, 69, North Webster, passed away on Thursday Nov. 3, at his residence. Born on July 6, 1947 in Allen County, he was the son of Jack A. and Gloria J. (Gruesbeck) Cook.
Randy was a lifetime area resident and attended local schools, graduating from Columbia City Joint High School, with the Class of 1965. He then attended the University of Cincinnati for architecture. Randy was the former owner of Cocinero’s in Syracuse. He worked for over 20 years as a designer at Copper River Cabinet Company in Fort Wayne. Randy was a member of Elks Lodge #1417, Columbia City and American Legion Post #253, North Webster. Randy was an avid Chicago Cubs and Chicago Bears fan. He also enjoyed watching I.U. Basketball and Notre Dame Football.
Survivors include his children Lori (Rob) DeSomer, Warsaw, Zachary (Joy) Cook, Fort Wayne and Rhett Cook, Goshen; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and one on the way; siblings Ryan (Karen) Cook and Reisa (John) Snyder, both, Columbia City.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Ross Cook, and great-grandson Trace Ritter.
Friends may call on Wednesday Nov. 9, from 2-7 p.m. at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Drive, Columbia City. An Elks service will be held at 7 p.m. with funeral services to immediately follow at the funeral home.
