Deer Shatters Window At Edgewood Middle School
WARSAW — Shortly before 9 a.m., Edgewood Middle School employees got a scare when a deer jumped into and shattered a window near the main entrance.
The window next to entrance two, was completely shattered, but the deer did not make it inside. It was initially thought the deer was badly injured and Warsaw Police Department officers were called to put the animal down. All Edgewood Middle school students were brought inside the building so they would not witness the incident.
While the police were assessing the situation, the deer suddenly stood up. After wandering around the front lawn area for a few seconds the animal ran into the woods behind the school. Officers believed the animal to be fine at that point but were following the deer to make sure.
