Peggy Jill Bussard
Peggy Jill Bussard, 68, Roann, died at 7:57 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 30, 2016 at her home.
She was born Dec. 1, 1947 in Monroe, Wisconsin to John and Ida Regina (Haberman) Chambers.
Peggy was a 1965 graduate of Monroe High School, and a 1969 graduate of the University of Wisconsin at Whitewater. She married William “Bill” Bussard in Monroe, Wisc. on June 1, 1974. She taught preschool, kindergarten, and elementary school. She worked with Bill as a missionary in the Philippines for seventeen years. Peggy was a member of the Loree First Brethren Church in Bunker Hill. She enjoyed family, friends, reading, cooking, gardening, and singing.
Peggy walked with Christ Jesus and was a faithful & gentle ambassador for the faith. By her simple, quiet and prayerful life she mentored many in their walk with Jesus. She had an “eternal purpose” with everyone she knew.
She is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Bussard of Roann; two children, Sarah E. Bussard of Roann; and Aaron W. Bussard of North Manchester; and her sister, Kay (Bill) O’Conell of Edgerton, Wisc.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4 at the Loree First Brethren Church, 8483 S. Strawtown Pike, Bunker Hill, with Pastor Dick Potter officiating. Burial will be in Roann Community Cemetery with Pastor Tom Curry officiating. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Thursday, at Grandstaff-Hentgen Roann Chapel, 335 S. Chippewa Road, Roann, and from 1-2 p.m. Friday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Loree Brethren Church Youth & Children Fund.
