Marilyn D. Powell
Marilyn D. Powell, 71, Milford, passed away Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016 at 12:10 A.M. at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw, Indiana.
Marilyn was born March 5, 1945, at Warsawto Joseph and Evelyn (Brown) Scott.
She has been a resident of the area all her life. She was a homemaker and was a sales representative for the Farmer’s Exchange. Marilyn was a faithful member of the Wawasee Bible Church and was a graduate of Bourbon High School, class of 1963. She enjoyed her family, friends, crochetting, playing hand held video games (Tetris and Yahtzee) and she loved her grandchildren.
On April 12, 1963 she married Fred Powell who survives. She will be greatly missed by her husband; daughter, Latisha (Mrs. Ian) Karns of Layfayette; two sons: Terry Powell of Milfrod; and Richard and Alison Powell of Syracuse. She was blessed with her four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, sister Marvene Scott of Warsaw and Niece Heidi Wringer.
She was preceded in death by her father January 11, 2000, mother March 29, 2013 and brother Marvin November of 2012.
Funeral services will be held in her honor at 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 3 at the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main Street, Bourbon. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 3 -6 p.m. Thursday. Pastor Jack Barthel of the Wawasee Bible Church officiating.
The family requests memorial contributions to: Kosciusko County Welfare League of Kosciusko County 4-H in her memory.
