Area Twins Finalists On America’s Funniest Home Videos
WARSAW — A pair of area twins were finalists in an upcoming episode of America’s Funniest Home Videos.
Twins Ava and Finn Sampson are first graders at Lincoln Elementary School.
Their video was filmed when the kids were four years old. The kids had their Halloween minion costumes on and their parents turned the camera on.
Keith Sampson, the twin’s father, said, “We create an atmosphere of God-Honoring love and fun.” Sampson stated through that atmosphere, the video was born.
The parents thought the video was so funny they decided to put it on Facebook captioning it, “Typical night at the Sampson house.” Many of their friends commented saying how funny the video was.
It was just this past summer the video resurfaced when Keith got a notification on his Facebook with a memory of the video. Keith re-posted the video and got more compliments about how funny it was.
After the re-posting, the Sampson and his wife, Keri, decided to send the video into AFV, not necessarily expecting anything to come out of it. They thought, “The kids would get a kick out of it,” if it actually ended up on TV.
Next thing they knew, they were called and told the producers loved the video and they would be flown to Los Angles for the taping of the show on Sept. 8.
During their trip for the taping, the twins were able to see the ocean and fly for the first time.
Ava said that, “I was kind of shy,” during the taping of the show.
When asked if their video was the top winner Finn said, “We’re all winners and you’ll have to wait and see.”
Their video will air on the next episode of AFV at 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, on ABC.
