Balloon Releases Scheduled To Raise Awareness about Anti-Bullying
KOSCIUSKO COUNTY — The Kosciusko Cares iCare Youth Coalition announces three balloon releases this week and next week to raise awareness around bullying and to promote the idea that local teens support diversity awareness and anti-bullying prevention.
The events are open to the student body as long as they have teacher permission to attend the events.
“The Kosciusko Cares iCare Youth Coalition is sponsoring a balloon release at each local high school in order to bring awareness to bullying in the County and to bring hope that in the future, all Kosciusko County residents will treat each other with kindness and compassion.” said Heidi Blake, Kosciusko Cares Youth Coalition Liaison.
The balloon release schedule is as follows: Tippecanoe Valley High School Thursday 10/27 at 1:30 pm, Warsaw High School Thursday 10/27 at 1:15 pm, and Wawasee High School Monday 10/31 at 10:30 am.
Warsaw High School student Mason Metzger will deliver a speech at Warsaw’s balloon release. Other coalition members are expected to speak at the events as well.
We look forward to talking more with the community about what we do, our goals and how to get involved. For more questions about this event or our programs please email [email protected].
