NLC Releases All-Conference Soccer
GOSHEN – The Northern Lakes Conference released Tuesday its lists for boys and girls soccer All-Conference teams.
Boys Soccer
The Concord Minutemen ran through the NLC with a 6-0-1 mark and placed eight on the list. Making All-NLC for Concord were Matt Granitz, Josh Gorball, Logan Wise, Ben Rich and Juan Aguilar, Honorable Mention All-NLC were Trevor Pollock, Chino Saleh and Nate Conder, and head coach Shawn McCuen was tabbed at the NLC Coach of the Year.
Plymouth was 5-2 and had Doug Overmyer, Erick Zelaya, Gustavo Castaneda, Jesus Jimenez and Wyatt Howard as All-NLC and Jorge Calix and Javier Baca as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Goshen was 4-1-2 and had Lucas Bontrager, Marcos Hernandez, Manuel Castillo and Flavio Cruz named All-NLC and Alex Rosales and Mason Short as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Memorial was 4-2-1 and had Jaime Mayorga, Oscar Ocampo and Zach Groulx named All-NLC with Diego Reynoso as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Northridge and Warsaw both were 3-4, the Raiders landing Tre Marvel, Nathan Blyly and Jonathan Mora All-NLC and Lucas Ganyare Honorable Mention All-NLC. The Tigers had Justus Voss and Eric Ocock as All-NLC and Blake Burns as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Wawasee was 1-6 with Carter Jones as All-NLC and Hunter Magiera as Honorable Mention All-NLC, and NorthWood was 0-7 with Juan Pantoja as All-NLC and Cody Cripe as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Girls Soccer
Northridge ran the table on the girls slate, going 7-0 and had a bulk of their roster honored. Coach of the Year Bill Redinger had Jade Thompson, Brey Baltazar, Ariana Stoltzfus, Sage Schnell, Maddi Kidder, Heidi Hochstetler and Meghan Cawood named All-NLC and the trio of Kyla Long, Emma Oxenrider and Izzy Love named Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Warsaw finished 6-1 and had Breck Jackson, Delaney Taylor, Brenna Shipley, Brenna Buhrt and Julie Frazzetta named All-NLC and Sydney Wiedeman and Dayle Harvey named Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Goshen wrapped up 4-3 with Aylissa Trosper, Jill Kissinger and Aniya Hartzler named All-NLC and Kassandra Rodriguez and Anne Nisley named Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Concord was 3-2-2 with Brenda Tellez and Micaela Tolar as All-NLC and Rachel DeShone as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Plymouth’s 3-3-1 squad had Anna Bockman and Cece Robinson named All-NLC and Ali Andrews as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Elkhart Memorial was 2-5 with Kirstin Huber, Veronica Ocampo and Taylor Freshour named All-NLC and MaKenzie Swearengin as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
NorthWood was 1-5-1 with Mackenzie Bergman named All-NLC and Brittani Shields as Honorable Mention All-NLC.
Wawasee finished 0-7, but had Leigh-Ann Shrack named All-NLC and Kayla White named Honorable Mention All-NLC.
