Kip L. Lowry
Kip L. Lowry, 48, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes in his home Oct. 18, 2016.
Kip was born July 14, 1968 in LaPorte to Walter N. Lowry and Helen B. (Ransbottom) Sparks. He attended Plymouth High School.
On Sept. 28, 1991, Kip married his high school sweetheart, Julie G. Richard, in St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Plymouth. To this union came two beautiful daughters, Kelsey Lynn and Katelyn Marie. The couple just celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
A jack of all trades, Kip did manufacturing and ran his own roofing business. Most recently he worked for CJ Poly as a forklift operator.
Kip loved fishing and riding his Harley. He loved everyone and would drop anything, anytime, if someone needed his help. He was young at heart and had a funny sense of humor, making nicknames for many he knew. Julie and he were never far apart from each other, enjoying long walks and car rides, just to talk and treasuring their time together. He liked to play Frisbee, loved music, loved animals, enjoyed fixing up motorcycles and loved kids. Kip always wanted his family to be together, and he attended St. Michael’s Church with his wife.
He is survived by his wife, Julie of Plymouth; and his daughters, Kelsey of Mishawaka; and Katelyn of South Bend; siblings: Roger Rhodes, Jimmy Rhodes, Scott Rhodes, Judy Frazier, Mike Lowry, Susan Lowry and Steve Lowry; and in-laws, Francis (Monica) Richard.
Kip was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Laurie Dollahan.
