Kosciusko County Celebrates Indiana’s Bicentennial
Letter to the Editor,
The Kosciusko County Committee to Celebrate Indiana’s Bicentennial would like to thank all of those who contributed to the success of our events. There are far too many to mention but whether you made a financial donation, sponsored our advertising, gave us a discount or donated your services please know that it was greatly appreciated. Thank you also to our volunteers who may have worked the information trailer at a festival over the summer or who ran an event for us. We couldn’t have done this without you! Thank you to Grace College, the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds and Lakeview Middle School for the use of your facilities.
Although it did literally rain on our parade there were many positives that came out of our three days of events. The Torch Relay was a huge success and we have received many compliments from the local and state level about our large turn-out of spectators, our organization and our modes of transportation. A special thank you to all who were involved with the Torch Relay from all the school corporations and towns along the route to those who drove a vehicle or helped supervise. Special thanks to our 22 Torch Bearers who did an awesome job and made this event the success it was.
Thank you also to the committee members; Paula Bowman, Mike Loher, Anita Jones, Deb Wright and Jean Weller for all of the time, hard work and dedication that went into this event.
Thank you Kosciusko County,
Diane Wulliman, County Coordinator
