Herman S. Beachler, 88, North Manchester, died at 8:50 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016 in his residence in North Manchester.
He was born March 23, 1928 in Modesto, Calif. to Vannie and Neosha (Nichols) Beachler.
He was a truck driver, independently hauling livestock for 20 and more years. He also built RVs at Rockwood in Goshen, was employed as a carpenter, farmer and worked for Cripe Transport.
He married Eileen Wrightsman Oct. 17, 1948.
He is survived by his children: Steven (Susan) Beachler, Amboy; Dan (Linda) Bryan-Beachler, Myakka City, Fla.; Margaret (Jeff) Dyson, Wabash; Marilyn (Orla) Miller, Athens, Wis.; 16 grandchildren; 51 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
He attended North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Church, North Manchester.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, Oct. 16 at North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Church. Those wishing to visit with the family may do so from 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15 at the church.
Burial will take place at North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery.
