Early Voting Opens In Kosciusko County
WARSAW — Individuals can now begin to vote in-person as of Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the Kosciusko County Justice Building, 100 W. Center St., Warsaw.
Voters may cast their vote early at the Justice Building until noon Monday, Nov. 7.
The Justice Building is open from 8-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The Justice Building will also be open for voting from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 3, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 5.
All identification voters need when they go for early voting is one of the following forms of identification: Driver’s License, State issued form of ID, a Passport or a Military ID.
Absentee ballots are also available by mail from the Kosciusko County Clerk office. A voter can obtain an application to vote absentee by mail here.
Individuals need to apply for an absentee ballot by mailing the application to the county clerk’s office by Oct. 31.
Absentee voting by mail is a three-step process. A voter must submit an application to vote absentee; the voter needs to receive and mark an absentee ballot; then the voter must return their completed absentee ballot by mail.
Individuals have the right to vote in Indiana if:
- They are a U.S. citizen; and
- They are a resident of Indiana; and
- They will be at least 18 by Nov. 8; and
- They are not currently in prison after being convicted of a crime; and
- They have lived in the precinct where you vote for at least 30 days before the election; and
- They are registered to vote
