Dorothy L. Reese, 96, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2016 at the Signature Healthcare Center in Bremen.

Dorothy was born Sept. 11, 1920 in Richland County, S.C. to Edgar Robert and Elsie Lucille (Kuskye) Morrison. Dorothy became the bride of Raymond E. Reese Nov. 28, 1936, he preceded her in passing Feb. 11, 1979. Dorothy was retired from Wagoner’s Wire Factory.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Judy Fish of Plymouth; sons: Raymond and June Reese of Bremen; Edgar and Patricia Reese of Bremen; two sisters: Margaret Aldridge of LaPaz; Clara and Lloyd Maxon of Kentucky; brother, Fletcher Sherland of Grovertown; also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great grandchildren.

Dorothy is preceded in passing by her parents, her two sons, David Reese and Loren Reese, son-in-law, Leonard Fish, and her grandson, Mike and granddaughter, Amanda.

The Van Gilder Funeral Home is assisting the Reese family. A private family graveside burial will take place in New Oakhill Cemetery with the Chaplain Alex Jack officiating.

The Reese family request memorial contributions in honor of Dorothy be made to the Homeless Veterans.
