Warsaw Softball: Glass Chooses Bethel
WARSAW – The Bethel Pilots will get a good one next fall. Warsaw Community High School senior Abby Glass has chosen the Bethel College to continue her academic and softball careers, according to Glass’ Twitter account.
Glass was a standout for the Warsaw program as a junior, producing a slash line of .382/.470/.926 as a starter in all 26 games for the Tigers. At the plate, Glass had 26 hits, five doubles, 14 RBIs and 17 runs scored for the Warsaw team that went 6-20 overall.
Glass primarily played shortstop, generating a .898 fielding percentage, contributing three double plays.
Bethel will welcome Glass to a team that struggled mightily in 2016, with the Pilots going 2-42 overall. Glass will join local players Gabby Warner (Elkhart Memorial), Danica Mast (Fairfield) and Katie Rhoade (NorthWood) on Scott Reese’s squad, his first year as head coach of the Pilots.
