Officers with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
7:44 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, East US 30 and South CR 450E, Warsaw. Driver: Nicholas J. Coon, 38, Alpha Street, Warsaw. Coon was traveling east bound on US 30 when a deer came upon the roadway. Coon struck the deer with the passenger side front of his vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.
Warsaw
Officers with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
4:16 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, 3354 Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Driver: Theresa S. Finley, 41, EMS B58 Lane, Warsaw. As Finley was backing out of her parking space at PNC Bank, she collided with an occupied, parked vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.
5:19 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, East Winona Avenue and South Indiana Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Karl D. Shepherd, 70, West CR 350S, and Kimberly A. Cano, 29, North Fox Farm Road, Warsaw. Shepherd was waiting at a stop sign at South Indiana Street to cross East Winona Avenue. Shepherd stated he did not see anyone coming so he attempted to cross the intersection but collided with Cano. Damages up to $2,500.
9:21 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, East CR 75N and North CR 175E, Warsaw. Driver: Tammy L. Price, 49, North CR 300E, Warsaw. A deer ran out in front of Price’s vehicle as she was driving on CR 175E. Damages up to $2,500.
6:24 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 12, West Winona Avenue and South Logan Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Cal M. Himelick, 28, Old Trail Road, Columbia City, and Elisabeth A. Hoffman, 21, East Market Street, Warsaw. Himelick rear-ended Hoffman. Damages up to $10,000.
