Kosciusko
Officials with the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated the following accident:
7:43 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, North SR 15 and West CR 600N, Leesburg. Drivers: Jerry L. Miller, 74, Brentwood Drive, Goshen, and Nancy E. Bucher, 65, West Garro Street, Plymouth. Bucher was driving northbound on SR 15 when a large cardboard tube fell out of the vehicle in front of her. Bucher attempted to stop to avoid running over the tube. Miller was driving behind Bucher when this happened. Miller was unable to stop in time to avoid rear-ending Bucher. Damages up to $10,000.
Warsaw
Officials with the Warsaw Police Department investigated the following accidents:
11:17 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, Lake City Highway and North Parker Street, Warsaw. Drivers: Aaron M. Gerringer, 36, West CR 200N, Huntington, Morghan S. Lefavour, 16, Chapman Lake Drive, Warsaw, and Johnny E. Frame, 34, West CR 100S. Gerringer was traveling east on US 30 approaching the intersection of North Parker Street as Lafavour and Frame were both traveling north on North Parker Street, approaching the intersection of US 30. Lafavour and Frame had a green light and proceeded to cross the intersection. Gerringer disregarded his red light, causing his vehicle to strike Lafavour’s and Frame’s vehicles. Damages up to $25,000.
3:31 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4, North Parker Street and Lake City Highway, Warsaw. Drivers: Mark E. Tracy, 57, South Armstrong Street, Kokomo, and Richard E. Leaf, 86, Belmont Drive, Warsaw. Tracy was at the intersection of North Parker Street and Lake City Highway, attempting to maneuver into the left lane to turn westbound on Lake City Highway. Tracy turned too sharply and struck Leaf’s vehicle. Damages up to $2,500.
