Stiles Arrested for Hospital Staff Battery
WARSAW — A Kokomo woman has been arrested for battery after hitting hospital staff.
Robin Renee Stiles, 48, 317 West Harrison St., Kokomo, is being charged with count one battery causing bodily injury to a public safety official, a level 5 felony, and count two battery to a public safety official, a level 6 felony.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, officers with the Warsaw Police Department were called to Kosciusko County Hospital Nov. 2, 2015, in regards to a verbally combative patient.
A male employee advised that when he tried to calm Stiles, she struck him in the face. The victim waited one day to file an official report. At this time he advised that he had observed Stiles remove her IV and throw blood towards the staff. He stated at this time that Stiles had struck him two times on the right side of his face, once with an open hand and once with a fist.
On Nov. 12 another employee came forward. The female stated that while she and the male employee attempted to get Stiles back into her hospital room Stiles became upset and hit her on the face with her fist. The female also advised that the male employee was hit twice on the face.
Stiles is being held at the Kosciusko County Jail on a $20,250 bond.
