MILFORD — Miss Kaitlyn will lead lapsit for children between the ages of infant to 36 months with songs and stories every Tuesday in October. The theme this fall is “Mice Are Nice.” Lapsit introduces little ones to literature by using stories and songs to create recognition between words and their meanings. Lapsit lasts about 20 minutes. Sessions are at 10:45 a.m and 1:30 p.m. Oct. 4.
Story time can be an enjoyable experience for the whole family. It doesn’t require any skills or preparation time for parents. This week, Miss Julie will read books and do activities centered around the theme “Good Night, Sleep Tight.” Children can bring their favorite stuffed animal and wear their pajamas. Story time is 10:15 a.m to 1:30 p.m. on Wednesdays or 7 p.m. on Thursdays. Individuals can register at the children’s circulation desk or call (574) 658-4312.
The friends of the library will meet at 1 p.m. Oct. 4 in the library meeting room. The friends assist with library programs and raise money to benefit the library. Those who would like to join can stop by the meeting or pick up a brochure at the adult circulation desk.
