Grace Volleyball: Lancers Roll To Victory
INDIANAPOLIS – The Grace College volleyball team dismantled Stephens 3-0 in a neutral-site contest on Friday night.
The Lady Lancers (11-9) had an impressive offensive outing to rout the Stars (4-14) in a match held at Marian University.
Grace had at least 12 kills in every set to win 25-21, 25-14 and 25-23. Overall, the Lady Lancers had 39 kills on a .218 percentage compared to 30 kills on a .116 percentage for the Stars.
Grace’s serving also exploited Stephens’ defense. The Lady Lancers had eight serves in the match, including two apiece from Kari Feddema and Kelsee Zuidema.
Zuidema and Sierra Smith led all players with nine kills. Zuidema’s strong outing also included 13 digs as she hit at a .368 percentage.
Feddema hit for seven kills on a .312 percentage, and Taylor Baird tallied 25 assists, 11 digs and 2 block assists.
Sara Miller produced a team-best 14 digs, and Kaitlin Kerrigan added 11 digs.
The Lady Lancers resume league play on Wednesday night with a match at Goshen College.
