WARSAW — A Mentone man is being charged with domestic battery after getting angry with his wife.
Brady Lee Shepherd, 26, 3373 SR 19, Mentone, is being charged with domestic battery with a prior conviction enhancement, a level 6 felony.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, officers with the Warsaw Police Department responded to a domestic battery complained.
Officers spoke with a female victim who was emotionally upset and had scratch marks on her forehead, as well as blood on the back of her neck and on her shirt.
The female advised that her husband, Brady Lee Shepherd, and her were traveling to purchase heroin when she told him she wanted no part in it. Upon arriving back at their residence, Shepherd became angry and grabbed her right arm with one hand and used his other hand to push her face into the driver door causing her glasses to break and scratching her forehead.
When the officer interviews Shepherd he stated the the couple was arguing because the female knew he wanted to buy heroin. Shepherd insisted that he did not get physical with the female, but stated she had backhanded him across the nose.
Shepherd has a previous conviction for domestic battery in Kosciusko County on May 25.
Brady Lee Shepherd is being held at the Kosciusko County Jail on $5,250 surety and cash bond.
