Warsaw Board Of Zoning Holds Short Meeting
WARSAW — In a less than five minute meeting, the Warsaw Board of Zoning approved one zoning request and adjourned.
The request was made for a rental property, 508 North Lake St., Warsaw, owned by Tim Hofer to receive an eight foot variance. The development standards currently requires a 20 foot front porch setback.
Justin Taylor, assistant city planner, stated that homes in this area have different setbacks, so uniformity would not be an issue. It was also stated that notices were sent out to neighbors with no comments returned. Taylor recommended that the board approve the variance.
“We just want to put a porch out there,” said Hofer, the homeowner. “We have tenants out there who go and sit on the stoop.” He mentioned that having a porch would give tenants a proper place to sit and allow the property to look nicer.
The board approved the variance.
