Adult Education And Family Literacy Week
WARSAW — The National Adult Education and Family Literacy Week is slated for Sept. 26 – Oct. 1. Adult education and literacy advocates are promoting the resources and programs across the nation to raise public awareness and to support 36 million adults with low literacy skills.
The LINCS Learner Center website connects adults to free online resources with assistance for literacy, math, science, English, job skills and citizenship.
Locally, the Warsaw Adult Education outreach of Warsaw Community Schools can be a transforming part of this effort. Among other services, adults can earn their high school equivalency diploma at WCS Gateway Education Center. Morning classes run from 9 a.m to noon evening classes are available.
