Lamora L. Filson
Lamora L. Filson, 90, of Plymouth, passed away on Friday, Sept. 23, 2016 in the Pilgrim Manor Nursing Home.
Lamora was born on Sept. 13, 1926 in Plymouth, Indiana to Emerson and Ada (Senff) Seymour.
On Sept. 22, 1946 Lamora became the bride of Clyde “Lowell” Filson. Lamora helped Lowell farm their land and she also was a valued clerk for Agway Seed Company. Lamora enjoyed crocheting and made many beautiful handmade gifts for family and friends. She was a member of the Inwood United Methodist church.
Lamora is survived by her two sons, Dennis and Linda Filson of Plymouth, Stanley and Lynne Filson of Plymouth; her brother, Lowell and Betty Seymour of Plymouth; brother-in-law, Donald Graham of Oldsmar, Florida; Lamora was further blessed with 5 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-grandson.
Lamora is preceded in passing by her parents, husband, and sister Phyllis.
The Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home is honored to be caring for the Filson family. A funeral in honor of Lamora will be held on Tuesday, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Brad Thornton of Bremen Missionary Church officiating. Lamora will be laid to rest next to her beloved husband Lowell in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Bourbon.
The Filson family will receive friends in the Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home, 115 S. Main St. Bourbon, IN 46504 on Tuesday, from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m..
