BOURBON – The Triton football team fell to Winamac by a 34-7 final Friday night.
The host Trojans had six turnovers, including a handful of interceptions, on the night in losing the Hoosier North Athletic Conference contest.
Winamac led 14-0 after the opening quarter and 20-0 at halftime. The Warriors added a pair of third-quarter touchdowns to make it 34-0.
Triton, which lost to Winamac 43-12 last season, got on the scoreboard in the final period on a touchdown run by James Snyder.
Max Slusser led the offense for the Trojans by rushing for 137 yards on 28 carries.
Triton drops to 0-6 overall and 0-5 in league play. Winamac improves to 2-4 overall and 2-4 in conference action.
Triton plays at North Judson (2-4) and Winamac hosts West Central (0-6) in conference games next Friday night.
